Disc is a clean and elegant table light. The shade that gives the family its name is flat and slim, with an integrated LED light source and diffuser that outputs a soft, warm and even light. The shade can lay flat, or be tilted upwards to light a tabletop or side table.

ReFramed is a new furniture design brand determined to challenge the role of good design in peoples homes. Starting with the bed.

From the start, the RF-100 bed system was designed with logistics in mind, it’s packaging being specifically sized for making delivery to the third floor of a Parisian apartment as simple as if it were a pair of trainers.

The assembly experience has been carefully designed to be as quick and enjoyable as possible, the bed frame requiring just one tool, no loose screws and only a few minutes. This makes not only the initial assembly process a joy, but takes some of the pain out of the all too frequent home move of the youthful urbanites that ReFramed have in mind.

The RF-101 bed frame is the base of a modular furniture system consisting of side tables (RF-102), headboards(RF-104) and under-bed storage(RF-103) that can be included at the point of purchase or added later with the same ease that the frame is put together. Extruded aluminium has been used for the frame not only for its exceptional strength to weight ratio that allows elegantly light proportions, but also for the fact it can be recycled over and over again, while maintaining an infinite lifespan.

Bilba is a contemporary upholstered collection, characterised by soft curvaceous surfaces delineated by a clear and defined stitch line, running around the generous sitting space.

Designed for a range of environments across both commercial and residential spaces, Bilbao offers a generous and inviting aesthetic in a relatively small footprint. Its posture is somewhat upright, yet casual, encouraging engagement and conversation as much as relaxation. Careful selection of foam densities for the cushions has resulted in an incredibly comfortable sitting experience, despite the taut, clean shapes.

Following on from our collaboration on Rakino, where we pushed the boundaries of CNC machining of timber frames, the Bilbao collection pushes cut foam upholstery to create forms that would normally be associated with highly industrial moulding techniques. Drawing on the impressive skills present in the production team at Morgan, we were able to achieve this, at levels beyond what I could have imagined.

The Bloom table light utilises the same optical effect as it’s pendant light cousin, projecting light through a fine mesh, into the diffuser, making the smooth glass appear as if textured.

Produced in either frosted glass with warm nickel metallic parts, or smoke frosted glass and black chrome.

The Rakino Dining collection is a family of dining tables and chairs, building on the success of the Rakino lounge collection.

Comprising of both fully upholstered as well as a timber backed ‘carver’ chairs, and a collection of single and twin pedestal dining, the latest additions to the Rakino collection are designed for a wide range of contract environments.

The elegantly shaped timber frames exploit the manufacturers skills in the craft of combining CNC machining and hand finishing to create lasting and highly functional furniture pieces.

The inherent flexibility of the TR Bulb led us to design a collection of accessory fittings, including wall/ceiling sockets, table lights, pendant sets and suspension frames.

These accessories are, like the TR Bulb itself, driven by the need for portability – so the wall bracket can either be permanently wired in, or hung from a nail like a picture, with a cable plugged into a wall socket.

Rakino is a collection of low lounge chairs that combines soft sculpted upholstery and CNC machined timber frames with an upright, somewhat architectural, attitude. The frame is all right angles and straight lines, save for the back support rail, which is bowed slightly, as if formed by the act of leaning back in the chair. The seat, in contrast, is a soft, shell-like form with a crisp single seam running around its edge.

Bloom is a result of ongoing experimentation in transparency and light. Contrasting materials, in this case finely perforated steel and frosted glass, were combined in order to manipulate and control light, softening the sometimes harsh output of modern efficient lamps.

The metallic mesh core, with it’s micro perforations, projects a soft focus texture onto the blown glass shade while directing an unobstructed pool of light downwards. This lends Bloom a distinct character shift between it’s on and off state.

The design process focussed heavily on prototyping the lit effect itself, with numerous perforation patterns being produced and tested.

The super-elliptical form of the shade is inspired in part by paper lanterns, and calls to mind their gentle dynamic glow.

Based on the arch theme that defined the mirror series, the Michelle seating collection is an exercise in pure, almost architectural geometry. On it’s own, Michelle is a subtle statement of an occasional chair; in multiples the arched back frame becomes and element of an ordered group that references the classical colonnades.

The collection includes a dining chair, a low stool and bar stools in both bar and counter height. Available with and without upholstery.

TR Bulb is a clever solution for modern city living, inspired by the way people are increasingly becoming urban nomads, moving between cities and countries to pursue careers and life experiences.

The first collaboration between Audo (formerly Menu) and Tim Rundle, TR Bulb is designed to be taken from apartment to apartment – installed by simply screwing it into the pendant sockets hanging in ceilings all over the world, no electrical expertise required. A dimmable LED bulb, its elegant, spherical form hides the lamp fitting, while the opal glass diffuser creates an even, harmonious glow – preventing glare.

Podium™ is a clever storage solution consisting of usefully sized containers arranged on a simple shelf unit, creating an easily accessible stack of jars. A kind of ‘micro pantry’ for your kitchen bench.

The stand has been carefully designed to almost disappear when the minimal, air-tight containers are stacked upon it. The cantilevered platforms, with their almost architectural silhouette allow for access to any container without the need to ‘un-stack’ your ingredients. Podium™ has been kept intentionally unobtrusive, so as to blend into any kitchen environment.

The folding system developed in collaboration has been granted a world wide patent.

The Michelle Mirror collection is defined by a bold graphic frame. Inspired by classical archways, its pure geometry, made up of straight lines and arcs, lends it a somewhat architectural presence.

Additional functionality is provided by marble side tables attached to the frame that offer a small but useful surface, also adding a kind of helpful character to the pieces.

Most dish brushes on the market have a limited lifespan, and are typically disposed of in landfill as the combination of materials makes them unsuitable for recycling. This is also true of the ‘replaceable head’ type dish brushes, where the removable brush head is normally a combination of a moulded plastic, nylon bristles and steel crimps. The carrier is typically moulded over the bristles and crimps, meaning they cannot be separated for recycling, making them suitable only for disposal in landfill waste.

While developing a moulded bristle head, it became clear that moulding the head as one piece of recyclable flexible plastic also had significant benefits. The head was designed with a frame that slots over the handle fixing it solidly in place. For easy removal there is a small tab at the back of the brush head that the user would pull down on to remove the head.

The bristles are designed in a way that ensures they have the rigidity to be an effective scrubber. The handle has a closed hollow section (capped by the hanging loop detail) for better ergonomics as well as a scraping edge integrated into front of the head part.

Caristo is a contemporary take on the classic wing chair, where the bulk has been stripped away to create visually light and dynamic armchair that retains all the comfort of its more voluminous ancestor.

The bracket that connects the frame to the shell is inspired by the simple, somewhat crude, technique of flattening the end of a steel tube to create a fixing point, but has been refined just enough to live comfortably on a piece of furniture.

Caristo comes in a range of finishes and 'high-back' and 'low-back' versions.

The Mohana series of modern, complementary tables that combine marble and fluted glass, supported by a fine gauge steel frame that contrasts the weighty surface materials. Utilitarian in approach, the collection is both functional and thoughtfully detailed. Each table has two levels with contrasting surface materials. Use them as side, coffee or bedside tables, on their own or grouped together.

The asymmetric composition of the overlapping tops creates an unexpected and dynamic attitude.
